Summary: Invigorating
Comment: From my travels of 2/3rds of United states and a 1/3 of Canada, I believe the source material provides abundance in variety that brings in me a sense of playful delight owing to the creative synchronization of music and video of landscapes.
I had the opportunity to view this video, thanks to Georgetown Public Library, Georgetown TX. It is unfortunate that buying this video is a challenge.

Summary: Excellent
Comment: Perhaps the film quality is older but if I were to speak negatively of this video simply because of age then I might as well say bad things about every other older video. The new age music blends perfectly with the scenery of the desert and makes me want to travel to the southwest every time I view it.

Summary: Sure beats the VHS version
Comment: I have found this to be a very good transfer with very little artifact if any. Compared to my original VHS tape this is incredible from the CD sound to the brilliant colors that seem to be lacking on the VHS copy. I'm very pleased I'll have a copy of this now for a long long time! Highly recommended if you like David Lanz and Utah's finer scenery.

Summary: Good concept crippled by weak source material.
Comment: The graininess of the 16mm film detracts from the smooth, soothing atmosphere attempted by the producers. With high resolution viewing, the imperfections and age of the orginal equipment are substantially irritating. Cheaply priced, but I wished I had saved for 50% of Starship Troopers. I received good reviews on Earthlight, and will try that...a reluctant thumbs down on Desert Vision.

Summary: Soothing nature video with new age music
Comment: This DVD combines beautiful new age music with vivid nature footage of the western/southwestern United States. The music was composed by David Lanz and Paul Speer, popular new age artists and is sure to please. Watch the camera explore streams and waterfalls, the flight of an eagle (from the eagle's point of view), Utah's arches and many other natural wonders. The main menu is kind of cheesy but it's the production that counts...and this one counts! Play this DVD in the background or while napping on the couch. Desert Vision is a pleasant addition to any DVD library. Such a nice price, too :v).
