Summary: Relaxing yet frustrating.
Comment: This has long been one of my favorite cds, however, since it is all recorded on 1 track, you can't skip around, and the piano is rather faint at times, so unless you turn the volume up, it's difficult to appreciate. The music itself is spectacular, and putting it to a storm was an excellent way to create ambience; however, if all your favorite pieces are at the end, you need to sit or fast forward through fifty minutes of storm to get there. Overall a good album, but there are better collections out there.

Summary: Sit back and enjoy the mood
Comment: Of all the vinyl I bought in the 60s and 70s this is the one I remember best. Perfect to sit back and listen to alone or with someone special. Sip a hot cup of tea and let the best of classical music wash over you with the sounds of a San Francisco thunder shower in the background in perfect sync with the music. If my original vinyl hadn't finally worn out I would still be listening to it. The CD doesn't have the nostalgia of vinyl but it sounds as good as I remember.

Summary: Chopin piano music with a rainstorm at night.
Comment: This is a great nature/classical cd feraturing Chopin's piano music and a rainstorm at night. The mood of the music fits right in with the sound of the storm and helps make this cd feel the spooky, mysteroius way it does, creating just the right mood it should be. Both the music and the storm contribute to that. It's a good thing to fall asleep to, too, because the thunder isn't too loud and violent, the rain isn't too loud and harsh, and the piano playing is just the right volume and isn't too loud and never gets into anything loud and harsh.
