Comment: I meditate, and this is THE cd I always come back to if I need help relaxing. Not New Age massage music, this is what you put on when you really want to meditate. This does sound just like being on a mountain at about 3,000 feet (on a calm day), where the trees, birds, water, and space surround you in that atmospheric peacefulness and quiet that is like nowhere else. The "music" is more like single notes or chords being struck quietly and slowly, without disturbing the nature sounds or causing discord, and contributing to the enhancement of a meditative state. I start it out at about 6 on my particular volume control, and turn it down after a bit if I need to. I find I can easily meditate and am not jarred by sudden changes of volume or sound. Good also to light a candle, turn out the lights, lie on the floor, and just let it relax you after a hard day. Can help you get to sleep, too. This is truly a meditation and relaxation cd, as it says, and should not be used if you're looking for tunes. The "music" has been minimally added to help you ease naturally into an alpha state. I don't find that it elicits any kind of emotional response, but rather that it directly relaxes you on a different kind of level. Real peace.

Comment: Another great album by David Miles Huber (51 bits per second), see at: www.51bpm.com, really great for sleep inducement. If you like it, you'll like also: "Mountain Streams", "Ocean Voyages", "Distant Thunder", "Mountain Serenety", "Spring Showers", "Awakenings", "Tropical Rainforest". Here in Brazil you can find only 4 titles as: 1.(Ocean Voyages): "Sons Da Natureza - A Viagem Dos Oceanos Vol. 28". 2.(Mountain Streams): "Sons Da Natureza - O Brotar Das Águas Vol. 27". 3.(Awakenings): "Sons Da Natureza - O Despertar Da Manha Vol. 29". 4.(Tropical Rainforest): "Sons Da Natureza - Floresta Tropical - Os Sons Da Vida Vol. 26. I think he is one of the bests in genere.

Comment: This is one awful CD! Contrary to its name, it's not serene at all! track one is an entire half hour of 'bubbly noises' and perpetual twangs of awful music! track two is a little better but not much. It features relaxing wind noises- and perpetual twangs of awful music!
Generally,the 'enhanced with music' CD's aren't as good as the plain CD's. It's hard to imagine you're on top of a serene mountain,for example,when the guitar music is playing louder than the nature sounds!

Summary: Relaxes even the most stressed person
Comment: When I arrive from a hard day's work, stressed and tired, I always have this cd as one of my favorites in my cd player. The relaxing is almost instant, and after 10 minutes you are in alpha state. I have a great collection of "relax music" and I can tell you that the soothing sound of the water, combined with the subtle music is a sure way to relax and recharge your batteries. This is one of my favorite relaxing cd's. I recommended it to friends and all of them agree in this is superb !!. Thanks Laserlight for making such a wonderful cd
