Summary: Pure sensual energy!
Comment: Two instruments are two lovers from foreplay to more intimate physical movements. A masterpiece of the union of man and instrument. My favorite piece to make love to! A one of a kind experience.

Summary: Excellent and original...
Comment: I purchased this cd four years ago somewhere else before Amazon had it available. I fell in love with it the first time I listened to it. I had been searching for relaxation aids and sleep aids when I happened upon this cd. Every piece is calming and relaxing. At first I thought they were depressing but I realized I was the one depressed. In 1991 I discovered via a magazine article that sounds produce certain vibrations as investigated by a scientist who used glass beads on a membrane much like that of a tamborine. It was discovered that certain vibrations created specific identifiable patterns in the glass beads on the membrane and thru continued research it was ascertained that certain diseases could be attributed to these various types of vibrations and that the violin produced significantly different patterns in the beads than piano. At first I thought it was all rather hokey as I was an avid rock and roll fan from the 70s thru the 90s. To make it all short I decided to change my genre of music and I have no regrets. This cd was one of the first I purchased during that transition. The music is melodic and peaceful, something I can appreciate now that I am more mature.

Comment: I know this CD Because there's a Taiwan PTS drama which is about a famous Chinese poet's autobiography,and this drama uses some musics in this CD as background music.I like this drama very much,and all of its accessories.

Summary: Beautiful Beyond Belief
Comment: Before listening to this CD, I was more into heavy metal and alternative music. Imagine my surprise when I first heard this CD at a friend's house a few years ago, and found myself mesmerized by the absolute beauty of it. I had to have a copy for myself. I quickly learned that this music was the perfect companion to a warm bath and a glass of good wine; you know those evenings when you just want to relax and maybe do a little soul searching. I love this CD so much that I am buying another copy because I lost my first one when I recently moved. I can't live without it!

Summary: Healing, haunting, soothing
Comment: This cd literally put me to sleep each night during a particular sad and traumatic time in my life. Listening to this music was the most healing and therapeutic thing I could have done for myself then; yet I continue to enjoy it today (nearly 5 years later). Michael Hoppe's talent as a writer is incredible, and Martin Tilman can make the cello talk (almost weep) like no other artist I've ever heard. I've searched for months for another cd that can do what this one does for me. The closest thing I've come across is another Hoppe cd called Unforgetting Heart; however, if I could take but one cd with me for a great length of time, it would be the Poet, hands down.
