Summary: WONDERFUL
Comment: I love this CD. I listen to it all the time as background when I'm cleaning around the house. It makes me feel like I'm right there at the beach. All that's missing is the smell of the ocean. Totally awesome!

Summary: waves good, birds bad
Comment: This CD starts out great and I was relaxing to the sounds of the waves, but somewhere in the middle of it, the waves diminish and birds take over (not seagulls) - I felt like I was in a Hitchcock Birds movie or something. I did NOT like all the birds- I felt like I should be taking cover! Then it also seems to turn to night time (crickets maybe?). Only waves was my goal (with the occasional seagull) and did not get it. Would not recommend it unless you seriously love the sound of birds.

Summary: Not for Sleeping - Maybe Only a Power Nap
Comment: If you would like to fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the ocean, then this recording is NOT for you. Starting with soothing ocean waves, the listener is abruptly awaken about 15 min into the recording - awaken by some sort of loud, shrieking creature - I mean LOUD! 25-30 min into the recording, the listener is surrounded by a gaggle of geese, trumpeting away with their disharmonious honking. Then, a bit of thunder - nice, but whatever... Then the waves again... No consistency. In all fairness to the producers of this gem, the recoding is great if you need only a quick power nap - you'll be awaken within 15 min by that excruciating shrill!

Comment: I live in the city - lots of background noise all the time. This on an old Ipod with a JBL speakers is great in my bedroom - small and like being in the carribean with the window open. Also, a great value when one compares the cost of other sleep systems.

Summary: Not Quite Right
Comment: The calming waves in the beginning of the CD are perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. I was feeling relaxed and comfortable and was really enjoying it. Then the birds started. And then there were more birds. And more birds. And they drove me nuts! Not sure how the rest of the CD is but I had to turn it off after what seemed like an eternity of annoying and sometimes harsh bird calls.
