Summary: Love it
Comment: I love this cd. I transfered it to my mp3 player so I have soothing calming music whenever I need to relax. This is my favorite cd by Deuter.

Summary: My 3 Month Old Infant Loves It!
Comment: I bought this album to play during the birth of my son. Now, when I play it for my 3 month old daughter, she settles right down for a nice, long nap with Buddha Nature playing in the background. It's so relaxing and peaceful. No wonder she loves it.

Summary: Relaxing
Comment: I was looking for background music/sounds to relax to. Since there are no repetitive patterns in the music, your mind must relax to listen. It was just what I was looking for to lie down and play softly in the background. Feels like I am getting a "mind massage"!

Summary: Very nice mellow, relaxing album
Comment: I've heard a few Deuter albums and this is the best I've heard so far.

The first track, "Buddha Nature" is 10 min. long and is very good except for the intro with synthesized keyboards. I don't like synthesizers and this music uses them sparingly. I prefer the music when it sounds more natural, with guitars and flutes and such.

The 2nd track, "Illumination" is such a track, using guitar and flute (or if it's synthesized instruments, I cannot tell the difference!) and has a nice feel to it, kind of like being in the mountains at sunrise, with beautiful views. It runs almost 28 minutes.

The 3rd track, "Amida" is my favorite. It includes cricket sounds in the background, and starts off with some Tibetan Bells, then flute. Reminds me of sitting by a waterfall in a beautiful garden, and if I'm not mistaken the flute is played in the ancient Chinese style. In any case, it gives you the feeling of being in a very special quiet natural place. It runs 9:45.

Track 4, "Joyful Path" starts off with a resonating Tibetan bowl (bell) and some wind chimes, over a long resonating bass note. This is the shortest track on the album, at 2:52, and I wish it had been much longer. [I'm a big fan of Tibetan Bowls, and in fact I will here recommend an album of pure Tibetan Bells, no other instruments: "Seven Metals: Singing Bowls of Tibet" by Benjamin Iobst. I have heard Deuter's "Nada Himalaya" Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 - both of which are made up of Tibetan bowls - and, while Deuter's Tibetan bowl sounds are good, I like this "Seven Metals" much better.]

"Blessing" is the last track, it runs 6:23, and it uses too much synthesizer for my taste, has that kind of "new agey synth" sound that I don't care for. I could be wrong, but the clarinet-like instrument sounds very synthesized to me, and the whole sound of it is a turn off.

Were it not for the over-use of the synthesizer here I would have given this album 5 stars. Except for the beginning of the first track and the entire last track, this is an excellent album!

Editorial Reviews:

Deuter's enchanting flute and soft rhythms blend layered melodies with water sounds, inviting us to a world where our own Buddha nature is reveled. Ideal for meditation, massage, and bodywork.
