Customer reviews of Electric Tears
|
Customer Rating: Summary: Great album Comment: Like the electric version (non-acoustic) of Colma in feel. Soothing and great melodies as well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Electric Tears Comment: I bought this DVD for my son but I have enjoyed it as much as he has!!! He does share it with me. He has several of Buckethead's DVDs and can't understand why he hadn't heard of him a long time ago - he is such an incredible guitar player. Thank you for being prompt with everything I have ordered from Amazon.com. You do a really great job.
Customer Rating: Summary: Naptime CD for my preschool classroom Comment: I bought this cd after hearing it online for my preschool classroom to relax to at naptime. (I have other Buckethead tunes of my own that I listen to... his stuff with Bucket of Bernie Brains and his Les Claypool stuff, etc.)
Not to inflate my own ego or anything, but- talk about the coolest preschool teacher EVER! Ask around... I am sure you won't find another preschool teacher who has her kiddos listen to eclectic musicians like Buckethead at naptime... Only thing is, I have a tough time not falling asleep myself!
Great cd for kids, it's "appropriate" and relaxing and not mind numbing like repetitions of "twinkle, twinkle little star".
Customer Rating: Summary: Good if you want to relax Comment: This album is very different from his many avant garde efforts in that its all acoustic and all just him on his guitar. There very relaxing songs but, i honestly still love it. The only thing i dont like about it is the second song is way too repetitive, of course most of the album is that way but thats just too much, 11 minutes! But i have no other pet peaves, great music.
Customer Rating: Summary: Colma Lite Comment: Any Bucket fan would rate this record as a break-off of his normal shred-o-matic style; noting that most shred-speed players of his caliber (or at least try), could never reach inside back far enough to have the soulful compassion of a ballad-style solo in any way like Buckethead does on Colma and this record.... and any of his other cross platform achievements.
This record just shows us fans that the Chicken Coop is never rested, and never without suprises.
Like Colma, but without the percussion....
"Colma Lite" .."full-filling, tastes great.."

Editorial Reviews:
|
Experience the haunting, beautiful and ethereal side of Buckethead, the fried chicken bucket and white mask-wearing guitar magician who has been described by the likes of Bootsy Collins, Bill Laswell and Carlos Santana as a phenomenal guitar player. Here, Buckethead puts aside his usual ax shredding and calculated mayhem to take the listener on an atmospheric acoustic/electric voyage into his mind. Currently, he is the lead guitarist for Guns 'n Roses, and he also plays lead for Praxis and Giant Robot.
