Customer reviews of Pursuit of Happiness

Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome!! Comment: This album is awesome ! you def will like it if you listen. Hope there will be 2nd album release soon !!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Why did they break up???? Comment: First off let's get the bad part out of the way. Save yourself 3 or 4 dollars and just get the album with the standard 11 tracks. The 2 remixes aren't worth the money. Now the good part. I LOVE THIS CD!!! I'm not a fan of electronica but the lead singers voice is addictive and intoxicating. The beats are great on the slower tunes as well as on the uptempo songs. Not a lot of lyrics to learn but that being said the lyrics are great. Very clear, legible, and you won't have to read the inserts to know what is being sang. By the time I found out about this group they had already disbanded. What a shame. Tied for the best musical purchase of 2007 for me. Must own for audiophiles.
Customer Rating: Summary: This is one my favorite albums of all time Comment: I have had this album for about 3 years now and I still love it. It's a work of art from start to finish and Jericho, Higher Ground, and Pursuit of Happiness are some of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Overall it's pretty chill, downtempo electronica, but where WP stands apart is melodic quality of their music. It's emotionally engaging and you could definitely use this as a *cough* soundtrack for some Very Fun Adult Moments.
My only complaint is that the Subway song irks me for romanticizing being homeless.
Customer Rating: Summary: worth a listen Comment: Great cd. It has a great combination of tracks that work well together. The vocals are smooth.
Customer Rating: Summary: a truly rare one Comment: every once in a great while you'll come across a bit of music, a restaurant, a movie, a place, that pulls you in and never lets go. i heard "i'll be there" and decided that tune alone was worth giving the album a shot. since then, i've had inquiries from friends, colleagues, clients and a parking valet who asked if he could sit in the car and listen to the entire work - "who is that?". whether it's foster's voice, the hypnotic rhythm lines, or the overall tightness of the group/production doesn't matter - after 3 years, this album remains a good friend worth a frequent revisit. unfortunately, my imagination is the only option when it comes to wondering about a live performance or a follow up work.
