Summary: DISAPPOINTING!
Comment: This DVD was the biggest disappointment. When I think of a DVD I think of videos! But all you see is a picture of the cover and the name of the song down in the corner. Hardly my idea of a video. Mannheim Steamroller makes such wonderful Christmas music, I love them. I got so excited when I saw this DVD, I thought of their first VHS video "A Fresh Aire Christmas" that was Great just to short! If you have the CD don't bother buying it like I did, what a waste of money!

Summary: Amazing surround sound mix!
Comment: I just read the other reviews of this DVD and am very sad to see how misinformed these reviewers are. There is not a problem with this DVD at all. The problem is that there isn't enough information about the DVD to let people know exactly what they are buying.
So this is what you are buying. You are buying an amazing collection of Mannheim Steamroller's classic Christmas music that has been remastered and mixed into Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. If you do not have a surround sound system then buying this DVD would be totally pointless, but if you have a surround sound system in your home, then this DVD is for you. The songs, in this new mix, sound totally incredible. The highlight of the DVD is definitely, Carol of the Bells. It sounds outstanding in surround sound!
This is a DVD audio disc, which means that audio is all you get. There are no videos to go along with the music. If CDs could play surround sound then I'm sure that is what Mannheim Steamroller would have used, but DVDs are the only medium that can play surround sound. That is the reason why it is on DVD.
Bottom line, if you love Mannheim Steamroller and have a surround sound system, than buy this DVD!

Comment: We just attended a live concert of Mannheim Steamroller performing "Celebration". It was wonderful, and we hoped to relive the memory through a DVD. This should be listed as a CD, because it is not a video of their concert. Very misleading!

Summary: Greatest Hits CD
Comment: I love Mannheim Steamroller. I like their Christmas Music. However, I should have read the playlist before buying because this is a Greatest Hits album even though they don't say so. Which means most of the pieces are taken from other albums which I already own. I didn't care for the one or two remixes myself, so as far as I was concerned I wasted my money. A greatest hits album is however a great way to get aquainted with an artist.
Me, I bought it as a CD, don't know about it being mistakenly marketed as a DVD.
