Summary: The Charlie Daniels Band - CDB- DVD- Live
Comment: This was filmed on July 4, 2005 on the riverfront in Nashville, TN before a crowd of 100,000 plus fans. These are very professional, seasoned muisical verterans, performing at their very best. Charlie is excellent, the band is electric, and I really enjoy Taz DiGregorio on the keyboards, (that man can really play"). Charlie plays some excellent guitar music and excellent fiddle music. They play most of their classics. Some highlights include, "The Legend of Wooley swamp", "simple man", "Long-haired Country Boy", two Gospel Classics - "Preachin,Prayin, Singin", and "Heart of my Heart", "The South's gonna do it again", "Orange Blossom Special" and "The devil went down to Georgia". It should be noted that Charlie Daniels has changed the words to "Long-haired country boy" from "I get stoned in the morning and I get drunk in the afternoom" to "I get up in the morning and I get down in the afternoon". This is a welcome change for me, the song still sounds the same. There are some great interviews with Charlie Daniels, and he strongly lets your know, he strongly supports our U.S.Military. There is some bonus material. This is an excellent concert dvd. The performances by the band are outstanding. I highly recommend this dvd.

Summary: A great concert DVD
Comment: This concert DVD is a fine representation of The Charlie Daniels Band in the modern era. Most of their good songs are on this disc, but with as many great recordings as they have had over the past 35 years, there's just no way to include them all.
The sound and video editing are very good, but I do agree with another reviewer that I would have preferred to have the interview segments not be interspersed with the concert, but rather offered as a "special feature" under a separate menu. Other than that, the DVD is top notch. The bonus features are also good and the vintage recording of the song "Birmingham Blues" inspred me to buy the "Volunteer Jam" concert/movie DVD that it came from. It also is very good and shows the eclectic early stylings of the band that included a lot of blues and jazz in the music.
I would recommend this concert DVD to anyone. You won't be disappointed!

Comment: Charlie Daniels Band at it's best Video and Sound quality are great. Charlie Rocks. Must have for southern Rock collection.
CDB shows are great if there's one in your area you gotta check it out.

Summary: CDB Rocks the 4th Southern Style
Comment: Charlie Daniels and CDB serve up Sothern Rock in fine style. Recorded live on the 4th of July in Nashvile down on the river. CDB remains in the elite top five of southern rock bands. Charlie is like fine wine-he gets better as he ages.
