Awesome Whales For Kids is the most exciting, most unusual and certainly the most entertaining 67 minutes we encountered. Your children will feel like they are on the boat watching as:
a baby whale plays with seaweed and a plastic bucket,
a humpback whale lifts her 12,000 pound calf out of the water on her back,
a humpback whale blows on people looking down at her,
the humpback whale named Colt trumpets loudly when another whale swims over and puts its chin on his back,
a humpback slams its tail (13 feet wide) on the water right beside the boat,
other calves imitate their mother’s behaviors!
Just when you think it can’t get more exciting; you’ll join us and share the experience of one of the most entertaining, amusing and unbelievable meetings of whales and humans. Stand at the railing as four humpback whales circle the boat and begin singing!
You see the whales in what can only be described as a game of tag or at the very least, an attempt to always be closer to the boat than all the others. We knew the names of two of them: Colt and Stub. It was not surprising because Colt is well known for coming up to boats and getting as close as he can. It is very special to have a whale curious and close to the boat. It is a fantastic experience to also hear their excitement in being there too!
