Summary: Some GREAT songs and some forgettable ones.
Comment: This album isn't as great as I expected but still really really good. I think I just got on the MGMT train too late in the game, so there was nought way they could live up to the expected hype.
This album is solid though, a ton of tracks get into my playlists every time I want to throw a party. Great stuff. Really excited to see what these guys do in the future.

Summary: a new sound
Comment: Out of nowhere comes MGMT, and they are GOOD. Every song on this album has a melody that sounds like it must have came from somewhere else, but no, it's new. They are very original... kind of a blend of 60's rock and 80's pop with modern layers of sound. I'm antsy to hear more from this band.

Summary: MGMT stands for AWESOME
Comment: I bought this cd because i really liked the song "electric feel" and often times when i buy a cd for one song, that ends up being the only song on the cd that i actually like. Not the case with MGMT's Oracle Spectacular, every song is truelly great. I find myself listening to the cd over and over again and never tire of it. Must-buy.

Comment: I love this album. There are songs for every mood, and it's especially perfect to drive to. I cannot recommend this album enough, I really enjoy every song, though for me, "Electric Feel" has become one of my all-time favorites. Listen and enjoy.

Summary: Ween without glue?
Comment: This album is fun. Plain and simple... but maybe not so simple...
Some of the track's lyrics have a deep thoughtful meaning if you want to look deeper, but if you're just looking for some catchy psychedelia to listen to while doing whatever it is you do, this is the album.
MGMT reminded me of why I got into music in the first place.
