Customer reviews of Kung Fu Panda
|
Customer Rating: Summary: It doesn't seem receiving enough popularity that it deserves Comment: Most fans, if not all, of Hans Zimmer should enjoy this score once again, like other scores composing by Zimmer. Somewhat simple and native chinese taste is amazingly orchistrated with more sophisticated, powerful and yet harmonic style of musics. I like the movie but more so the soundtrack. This score is just like a chinese food cooked by an american. It is risky and not common, but even you hate chinese food, try this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Better after a few listens Comment: I enjoyed this much better on my third and fourth (and after) listenings. At first and second listenings it sounded a little too silly (the movie was silly in parts), but later this effect wore off and the oriental influence and power of the mood came through more deeply. Zimmer is great. Powell is great. I collect both of them - the two together did a wonderful job.
Customer Rating: Summary: A musical masterpiece!!! Comment: This soundtrack is certainly a stellar contribution to the music world, as well as to the collection of those with a penchant for movie soundtracks. It captures the very essence of the movie (of course) as well as holds its own as an aural work of art. To really appreciate it though, first watch the movie then intently listen to the rendition of the tracks as they retell the plot with nothing but beautiful melodies, counter-melodies, harmonies and riveting rhythms that buttress the motifs. Every second of it - even the well placed pauses and measures of silence - is a pleasure for the eardrums; from the simple flute solo to the full-blown anthemic orchestral rhapsodies. This offering is also a sweet blending of mostly acoustic and some electronic sounds/effects. The final track is also a tasteful re-make and a pleasant head-bopping toe-tapper.
Enjoy!

Customer Rating: Summary: Oogway is reason enough Comment: Despite this score being a wonderful piece of music "oogway ascends" alone is reason enough to buy this score!
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome movie, great soundtrack! Comment: At first I wasn't sure how this movie would be, mainly because I think Dreamworks pumps out really mediocre animated movies. I was very surprised when I saw the movie to find out that I loved every minute of it. Not just that, but I found myself wanting the soundtrack just as bad as I wanted to see this movie again! Amazing score written for an amazing movie, definitely recommend it.

Kung Fu Panda original music by Hans Zimmer and John Powell featuring 'Kung Fu Fighting' performed by Cee-Lo Green and Jack Black. Animated motion picture comedy about a lazy, irreverent slacker panda, Po (Voiced by Jack Black), who must somehow become a Kung Fu Master in order to save the Valley of Peace from a villainous snow leopard, Tai Lung. Set in the legendary world of ancient China, this is the story of Po, our unlikely hero, who enters the rigid world of Kung Fu and turns it upside down. Po ultimately becomes a Kung Fu hero by learning that if he believes in himself, he can do anything.
